How to Create a Trendter Account
Creating a Trendter account takes less than two minutes. Here is everything you need to get started.
Step-by-Step Registration
- Go to the sign-up page — Visit trendter.com/register or click "Join Free" on the homepage.
- Choose your username — Pick a unique @handle (letters, numbers, underscores). This is permanent in your profile URL.
- Enter a display name — Your visible name. Can be your real name or any alias.
- Enter your email — Use a real address; you will need it to verify your account and for password resets.
- Choose a password — At least 8 characters. Mix letters, numbers, and symbols for security.
- Verify your email — Check your inbox for the Trendter verification link and click it.
Username Rules
- 3 to 30 characters long
- Letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), and underscores (_) only — no spaces or hyphens
- Cannot start with a number
- Must be unique — first to register it, keeps it
- Case-insensitive: @Khan and @khan are treated as the same username
After Registration
Once you have verified your email, you will be taken to your feed. From there:
- Complete your profile by adding a bio and profile picture (Settings → Profile).
- Follow a few accounts to personalise your For You feed.
- Join a Trend community that interests you.
- Write your first post — the composer is at the top of your feed.
💡 Username Tip: Choose something short and memorable. Your URL will be trendter.com/@yourusername — this is how others find and mention you.
Frequently Asked Questions
I did not receive a verification email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, go to the login page and click "Resend Verification Email". Make sure you entered the correct email address during registration.
Can I change my username later?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account. Changing your username will change your profile URL (trendter.com/@newusername). Any old links to your profile will stop working.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be at least 13 years old to use Trendter, in line with our Terms of Service and applicable laws.
Can I use the same email for multiple accounts?
No. Each email address can only be linked to one Trendter account. If you need a second account, use a different email.
My registration failed. What do I do?
Common causes: the username is already taken, the email is already registered, or the password is too short. Try a different username or email. If the issue persists, contact support at hello@trendter.com.
Can I sign up with a Google or social media account?
Currently, Trendter requires email registration. Social login (Google, Apple) is on the product roadmap.
What happens if I never verify my email?
Unverified accounts have limited access — you can browse but cannot post, reply, or follow other users. Verify your email to unlock full access.
Is my password stored securely?
Yes. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords. Even Trendter staff cannot see your password.
